Associate Director - Event Technology Services
As part of our top-performing leadership team, the manager of Event Technology Solutions will manage the growing on/off-site operation across the department as part of the Corporate Administration division. This individual is responsible for managing, mentoring and coaching all employees across the unit, and identifies developmental strengths and weaknesses of assigned areas and ensures necessary programs, and resources are made available to support development need. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for setting the direction, the vision and the overall goals within the unit. Ensures that all strategies are aligned with the overall MM business direction and IT strategy. Establishes and assesses the achievement of realistic, challenging objectives through regular communication and a formal performance management program. This may include succession planning, job redesign, development planning and the corresponding processes such as change management, reassignments, training, job eliminations, terminations, etc. As appropriate, responsible for delivering change management interventions in partnership with HR Consultants. Recognizes and rewards positive performance, and addresses performance/behavior situations in a timely and appropriate manner, ensuring that all team members follow MassMutual prescribed HR policies and procedures. Develop and manage the achievement of business objectives for assigned area and participates as a member of the organization’s management team contributing to the development of strategies and business goals and measures. Develop innovative and strategic solutions to project execution by facilitating the identification of new methodologies across the organization and through industry research. Responsible for developing and overseeing complex financial budgets and project timelines, and aligns resources as appropriate to stay within the department budget. Utilizing strong management and interpersonal skills, also responsible for business consultations, managing the staff, enhancing relationships with clients, colleagues and peers, influencing and optimizing contract decisions with vendors, customer service, scheduling, inventory control and training. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: Capital and asset management strategy development Strategy and budget development Two to four years management and technical experience in the industry in a team environment preferred Proven experience in developing positive customer relationships and seeking ways to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty Possesses excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in high-volume environment Demonstrates a proactive service orientation in meeting customers' needs. Understands customers' needs intimately and matches them to services and products Proactively captures new business Must have the ability to make immediate decisions in order to provide the client with an immediate solution without any downtime in client meetings. Monitors trends and demonstrates an ability to implement new technology and or upgrades Encourages and supports the ongoing development and education of individuals within the organization Exhibits well developed communication and listening skills; is clear, concise, motivating and persuasive Has the ability to create the environment to produce positive motivation and accountability by articulating and arousing enthusiasm for a shared vision and mission Proficient in financial and business augmentation and analytics Resourceful Bachelors Degree in related field preferred Superior quantitative, oral and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills Service and results oriented with strong customer focus and sense of urgency Proactive mindset to anticipate and support change Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior Exceptional customer service abilities This is a hands-on job requiring both management and technical skills Must be able to travel and work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
