Technician-Audio Visual (Audio/ Visual Operations) - Part-Time

Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices, and systems. Oversee the set-up of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms. Ensure all AV equipment is fully operational, repair or clean equipment when necessary. Tape down and dress all loose wire and cable. Check delivered equipment and room set-up against Banquet Event Order. Assist and instruct guests/customers regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment, up-sell different AV services, and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals. Break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use. Read, understand, and adhere to Marriott Visual Productions (MVP program) SOP book. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures. Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipate and address guests` service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team goals. Reach, grasp, turn, manipulate, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 25 pounds. Walk and stand for extended periods of time. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Audio-visual operations experience and a thorough knowledge of AV equipment and presentation software required; hotel or events experience preferred. Training provided. Must be available to work a flexible part time schedule including weekends and holidays, rotating AM/PM shifts and days, as business demands. Competitive hourly wages.
