Job Description
The successful candidate will be able to interface various types of Communication and presentation technology. Candidate will support the Audio Visual Manager in overseeing all of the Audio Visual services within the Conference Services Department. The AVCS Technician will ensure that all Audio Visual requirements requested by clients are met. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships and ensuring timely responses to all inquiries for space or service needs.

Recipe to Succeed:
Responsible for reviewing customer requests from the BEOs and providing equipment/assistance at the time and place necessary. Knowledge of the property management system to pull the AV reports and to input information into BEOs is required.
Must have the ability to make immediate decisions in order to provide the client with an immediate solution without any downtime in client meetings
Provide technical assistance for all meetings and customers that require tech services for their events.
Must possess a working knowledge around integrated audiovisual systems. Demonstrate a motivation to learn about repairing equipment and new/upcoming technologies.
Able to change data projectors, lamps and cabling pieces associated with all the various integrated systems throughout the portfolio.
Review operation of equipment with customer and ensure that the customer is comfortable with its operation.
Offer assistance in operation of equipment and help solve problems if customer is unsure of requirements (i.e. recommending LCD projection instead of overhead).
Educate the staff and customers on the basics of all AV equipment in the facility.
Maintain metrics associated with room equipment inventory, room check inspections, preventative maintenance checks, and repairs/replacements completed in conference rooms
Responsible for maintaining pars on all AV supplies and submitting requests for purchases to the Audio Visual Manager. These supplies include: flipchart paper, bulbs, batteries, etc.
Assist team members with conference room set-ups, break downs and any other areas where they may need assistance in an effort towards total guest satisfaction.
Responsible for keeping all the A/V storerooms organized and well managed.
Perform other duties assigned by management
Ability to travel to and assist other conference/training centers when requested to do so.

Necessary Ingredients:
A Bachelors Degree preferred
Minimum of 1 years work experience in an audio visual related position
Basic knowledge of integrated AV systems, inclusive, but not limited to: data projection, audio, video, Clear One, Extron, Webex, Cisco systems
Advanced proficiency in MS applications Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook. Prior usage of Asset Management software a plus
Membership & participation in professional organizations will train for a CTS certification
Superior quantitative, oral and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills
Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business
Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
Exceptional customer service abilities
This is a hands on job requiring both management skills and technical skills
Ability to move conference room tables, chairs and lift 50 pounds as needed.

Job Safety:
Once a year the following Job Safety Requirement forms must be reviewed, signed upon completion and returned to Conference Center Manager: Audio Visual Safety Consideration, Insta-Threatre Screen, Electrical Equipment, Electrical Repair, Electrical Safety and Ladder Use.
